Birthday

Yup, I’m officially another year wiser older. Took the opportunity to skive take a break from work and spent the day leisurely with the Man, and later in the evening, with Matthew and my family.

On the day my mother should be congratulated those decades ago, I woke up to a bright and sunny day with this in my face: (mouse over the picture for more information)

Kelvin’s Mega Breakfast for the privileged me.

Lunch was a sumptuous 7-course meal at Ah Yat Abalone Forum Restaurant:

Naturally sweet and creamy soup with lots of sharks fin

Succulent and juicy abalone, with the taste of the ocean in every bite. Kai lan never tasted this good until one takes it with the amazingly flavourful sauce that's good even on its own.

 A truly satisfying meal. Whilst it’s a meal suitable for occasional splurges, frequent indulges may result in fatigue and desensitisation of the palate.

To end off this self-proclaimed important day, we had a small cake-cutting ceremony.
